DIABETES EDUCATION

During your stay at Camp Carefree you will have the opportunity to learn more about the relationship between diet, insulin, and exercise and their roles in successful self-management of your diabetes.  In group sessions, you will be able to share experiences and ideas with other campers.  You will also have opportunities to interact one-on-one with medical staff as well as your counselors who have diabetes.

NUTRITION EDUCATION

During your stay at Camp Carefree you will have the opportunity to learn more about the role that nutrition plays in glucose control as well as how this translates into meal plans.  You will be able to interact with nutrition staff during snack and meal times.  And you will be able to discuss meal plan revisions one-on-one with a nutritionist.
