About CIT Program Navigation

The ADA Camp Carefree CIT Program is designed to provide a supervised period of transition between being a camper and being a counselor.  CITs attend the second half of staff training week to start their training and work with the counselor to help prepare camp for the arrival of the campers.  CITs continue their training through out camp with evening meetings with the CIT Director where CITs, as a group, will discuss each days experiences.  CITs are mentored by counselors in program activities to help develop the skills to teach those activities.  CITs also assist their cabin counselors with daily cabin duties.  CITs live in the cabin with the campers, and are expected to follow the camp rules as well as the agreement of the CIT contract.  CITs must be 17 years old to qualify for the CIT program.

The fee for attending the CIT Program is half the full camper fee; $650 for 2015.  CIT applicants make no payments until after they are selected for the program.
