THE 2010 CAMPER APPLICATION IS UNDERWAY

The fee to attend ADA Camp Carefree in 2010 is $1200, which includes the $25 non-refundable application fee.

SPECIAL NOTICE:

Packet #2 is now in the mail to all campers, CITs, and Sr. CITs.

If you do not receive it by Tue, Jun 29th, please contact Beth Rowe.

Please note, the due date for forms in this packet is Thu, July 15th.

It is very important that we receive your forms, as well as final payments,

by this deadline so staff can prepare for Opening Day.

ADA Camp Carefree has space for 60 boys and 60 girls.

As of Sunday, 6/17/10, several cancellations have left openings for 4 boys!

Applications for the waiting list, which will also be given priority for 2011, are still being accepted.

If you are still interested in applying for camp, please download the 2010 camp brochure

and return the reservation form to Beth Rowe along with the $25 non-refundable fee.

To apply by mail download the camp brochure, complete the reservation form and mail it with a $25 check payable to ADA Camp Carefree to:

Beth Rowe

PO Box 342

Newmarket, NH  03857

NOTE:  If you decide to apply by mail, DO NOT apply online because you will be charged again for the $25 non-refundable fee.  This is one of several reasons why we recommend online application.

If your camper is unsure about attending camp this year,

consider visiting camp while we are in session for a camp tour.

USE THESE LINKS TO VIEW CAMPER OR CIT SPECIFIC INFORMATION

1.

The 2010 Camp brochure will be sent out FIRST to all waiting list campers (those who did not get into camp last season—2009).  These families will be given the opportunity to file their application first, however, it does not guarantee them a spot in camp.  Waiting list campers are simply given a head start over everyone else in the application process to get their applications in first.

2.

After a one week period, the remaining brochures will be sent out to all campers who attended in previous years, as well as those people who requested brochures over this past year.  Once online application becomes active, waiting list campers who submit their applications within the first 10 days will be given first priority.  After that, spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.

3.

ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR BROCHURE, YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO APPLY TO CAMP:  ONLINE AND BY MAIL.
bullet If you wish to apply online, which we highly recommend, simply click the "Apply Online" button above and do nothing more with the brochure.  You will be asked to pay the $25 non-refundable fee as part of the online application process.
bullet If you wish to apply by mail, fill out the Reservation form from the brochure being sure to answer all questions!  Send this completed form back to Beth Rowe at the address listed in the brochure.  Be sure to include your $25 non-refundable application fee.  You will not receive an application without it.  Please do not then apply online as you will be asked again to pay the $25 non-refundable fee.
bullet PLEASE:  Be aware that returning the Reservation form secures your camper a spot in camp as long as space is still available, and as long as you continue with the rest of the application process, as described below.  Failure to send in the required paperwork listed below in Box 4 by April 30th forfeits your camper's spot and moves him/her to the waiting list.  So, get your paperwork in early!
bullet What happens when camp is full?  If you try to apply online when camp is full, you will see a notice that says camp is full.  In this case, please submit the brochure Reservation form along with the $25 non-refundable fee to have your camper's name placed on the waiting list.  When a brochure Reservation form is received after camp is full the applicant is automatically placed on the waiting list and sent a waiting list acknowledgment.

4.

IF YOU ARE APPLYING BY MAIL:  ONCE YOUR RESERVATION FORM IS RECEIVED YOU WILL BE SENT AN APPLICATION PACKET:
  • Please fill out and immediately return these seven forms (must be received by April 30th):
    • the new application form (pink in color),
    • the payment arrangement form (creme in color),
    • the application for financial aid (grey in color, if applicable),
    • the combined personal/background medical history form (pastel blue in color),
    • the HIPPA form (white in color)
    • the Counselor/Therapist form (lilac in color)
    • the camper consent form (goldenrod in color).
  • Once you have filled out these forms, immediately send them back to:

Beth Rowe

ADA Camp Carefree

PO Box 342

Newmarket, NH  03857

  • Receipt and review of the forms above by April 30th will determine if a spot is guaranteed for your camper.  Beth will send you a confirmation; most confirmations will be sent via email.  However, failure to send in the required paperwork listed above by April 30th forfeits your camper's spot and moves him/her to the waiting list.
  • The remaining forms in the packet will be due (as indicated) by May 15th.
  • Around June 15th, Beth will be sending you a second packet, which will include some other forms.  Please follow the instructions in the letter included with this packet to determine which forms to mail back by July 15th, and which forms to bring opening day of camp.
