JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS
bullet

At least 21 years of age.

bullet

Three years of camping experience.

bullet

Three years of college or equivalent experience in camping.

bullet

Strong computer skills.  Proficient with Word, Excel, Access, FrontPage, and MS operating systems (W95, W98, WNT, W2000, WMe) .

bullet

Familiar with digital photography.

bullet

Professional development/experience in camping or related area (recreation, environmental studies, counseling, physical education, etc.) preferred.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain camper address database.

bullet

Maintain inventory database.

bullet

Create the annual Slide Show CD.

bullet

Maintain and update camp website (www.CampCarefreeKids.org).

bullet

Create the annual Camp Carefree Directory.

bullet

Set up and maintain small computer network during camp session.

bullet

Provide general office support such as word processing and soda ordering.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
bullet

Maintain camper address database.

Data entry of camper names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses.

Set up cabin, activity group, team, and table assignments.

Generate camper lists.

Data entry of staff names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and staff positions.

Use database to generate the contents of the Camp Carefree Directory.

Maintain inventory database.

Prepare beginning inventory worksheets.

Data entry of beginning inventory.

Prepare ending inventory worksheets.

Data entry of ending inventory worksheets.

Create shopping list and provide to Jeanne ASARP following the end of camp.

Create the annual Slide Show CD.

Take digital pictures during precamp training, camp, and post camp.

Screen and name digital pictures for inclusion in slide show.

Create the 5 Slide Show CD versions:  camper, staff, fund raiser, bass fishing, and photography.

Collect Slide Show orders and payment at the end of camp.

Duplicate slide shows ordered.

Mail slide shows ordered.

Maintain and update camp website (www.CampCarefreeKids.org).

During camp, download, print, sort, and distribute camper email messages on a daily basis.

During camp, upload pictures to the current year photo album on a daily basis.

Maintain website content during the rest of the year.

Raise funds for hosting annual hosting and domain name registration fees.

Create the annual Camp Carefree Directory.

Collect names, addresses, phone numbers, birthdates (M/D) of all council, administrative, dietary, medical staff, volunteers, bass fisherman, manufacturers, researchers, and Camp Pride staff for inclusion in the address book by the first weekend of camp.

Layout address book in preparation for duplication.

bullet

Set up and maintain small computer network during camp session.

Layout network wiring

Connect all computers and make sure they see each other on the network.

Make sure shared printers are accessible on the network.

Attempt to solve any computer problems that arise during camp.

bullet

Provide general office support such as word processing and soda ordering.

Word processing of various camp forms that get used each summer.

Place and coordinate pickup of soda order for the session.
