administration. For those children unable to give injections,
initiate teaching of insulin administration. Actual administration of
insulin may be included. Document on medical records. |

Monitor blood sugars and/or ketones
before each meal, at bedtime and as needed. Supervise tests when
necessary. Make sure campers have documented their results in their
own log book. Document test results on medical record. |

Rotate with medical staff for night
call if necessary |

Provide ongoing orientation and
diabetes education for non-medical staff with special emphasis on
signs, symptoms, treatment and prevention of insulin reactions |

Interact in daily team meeting on
each child between medical and non-medical personnel |

Maintain daily log of all incidents
in bound "Incident Book" in addition to the medical record |

Perform other duties as delegated by
the Medical Coordinator, Medical Director or Camp Director |
